Atramentous light drove across the plains. Not much seemed to go on right now. Wind blew horizontally, like it always did and will for times to come. Paws digging into the ground, she felt insect-like patterning inside the dirt. The grass seemed great to rest on right now. But, unfortunately, he was a hunter. And, like her rank, he had to go confiscate prey for her pack. As much as she didn't want to right now. Too bad though. Life is life. Life is work. It always is. His gray paws moving, she padded at a moderate rate, gazing openly for anything he could find. Well, anything edible anyway. Analying animals easily, she had already found an elk grazing less than half a mile away. Tongue slirping across his lips, Serenity traveled through the growing crowds of green plants. The plains features would make this an even easier kill.
Now close to the elk, the she-wolf unsheathed her claws quietly.
