Species Name: Ghosts
Average Height: Between 3- 4 1/2 feet
Average Weight: Usually very light. Normally between 25-45 pounds, but some weigh more or less.
General Description: Generally, they have very pale fur and seem almost translucent. Their eyes are usually very brightly colored. Some have wings, others just float, depending on what they were before. Oh, didn't I mention? Ghost wolves are actually the embodiment the spirit of a once dead animal in the shape of a wolf. Some were formerly wolves, others were birds, fish, cats, and even frogs! Probably the best part about them is that it is nearly impossible to kill one. They've lived through death once, and it's made them a lot tougher.
They are alive, but they have some problems. One, they are formed, but never born. No ghost wolf can bear pups. They also cannot directly kill, only wound horribly and hope that they die from infection or bloodloss. This makes them rather poor hunters.
Normal Lifespan: They are very long lived, the oldest can get up to 80 years, but most range from 60-70.
Natural Habitat: None. Can live just about anywhere.
Picture: usually like this, with or without wings. some are dark colored like this one.
History: Most souls wind up in normal places like Heaven, Hell, or whatever you wan to call it. But some are stubborn. After the blessings the wolves got, some souls decided that's what they would be when they died, a wolf. It took a long time to perfect, and most Ghost wolves still have problems. Still, the souls of strong, stubborn animals now live on in wolves' forms.
